Goodies from The Kills & The White Stripes

If there's been a void in your rock N roll fill lately, have no fear.

The Kills and The White Stripes announced that they will be releasing a compilation album of b-sides and a greatest hits album (respectively) in December.

Joy to the world!

The White Stripes Greatest Hits

October 5th Kills announcement of Little Bastards, a remastered compilation of b-sides and rarities from 2002-2009, to be released on December 11th.

October 7th The White Stripes announced via Third Man Records that they're set to release their first ever official anthology of recordings...AKA The White Stripes greatest hits on December 4th!

The Kills have five albums in their catalog to date:

- Keep Your Mean Side
- No Wow
- Midnight Boom
- Blood Pressures
- Ash & Ice

According to the announcement about Little Bastards, the collection of b-sides will come from their first three albums.

The Kills,  Little Bastards

It has been 13 years since The White Stripes' last album, Icky Thump
While Jack White has been busy with his solo work, The Dead Weather (his side project with The Kills' Alison Mosshart on lead vocals), The Raconteurs and Third Man Records, we haven't heard too much from or about The White Stripes.

According to The White Stripes Instagram account, which was just created around the same time as the announcement of their upcoming greatest hits album, the collection will include 26 songs and is titled My Sister Thanks You and I Thank You: The White Stripes Greatest Hits
It is available for pre-order on CD, double LP and digital as of now.

The White Stripes Greatest Hits track listing

After it was part of Jack's impromptu performance on SNL a couple of weeks ago, it's been confirmed that "Ball and Biscuit" is on the greatest hits track list. Apparently more tracks will be announced leading up to the release, so keep your eyes for that.

These October treats are kind of tricky since we have to wait until December to enjoy them. They are something to look forward to though!
