Music news from the last week of May

The month of May went away with a BANG!
Here are a couple happenings that were announced last week to get excited about.

Earlier this year Trent Reznor revealed that Ninch Inch Nails is indeed touring again then last Tuesday he shocked fans again:

“I’ve been less than honest about what I’ve really been up to lately. For the last year I’ve been secretly working non-stop with Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder on a new, full-length Nine Inch Nails record, which I am happy to say is finished and frankly fucking great. This is the real impetus and motivation behind the decision to assemble a new band and tour again. My forays into film, HTDA and other projects really stimulated me creatively and I decided to focus that energy on taking Nine Inch Nails to a new place. Here we go!” - Trent Reznor

No release date on the self proclaimed fucking great new NIN album, yet.

On Wednesday the 29th The Naked and Famous annouced that they're going on tour! As of 9am that morning pre-sale tickets went on sale and everyone who got a pre-sale ticket through The Naked and Famous website was automatically entered to win a chance to meet (and greet) the band.
Check to see if pre-sale tickets are still available in your neck of the woods and get entered!

Their US to UK tour starts on September 25th yet there is no news on a new album.
Maybe before they hit the road they'll unvail new music?

A lot of people look forward to Summer but a lot of San Franciscans look forward to Indian Summer which usually starts sometime in October.

This October 19th and 20th is the The Seventh Annual Treasure Island Music Festival and the line up was announced last week! Oh my jeeeez! Who do you want to see?!

Get your hands on the treasure now cause tickets are already on sale!

Here's another T.I.M.F gem, there are NO OVERLAPPING SET TIMES!

Portugal. the Man is officially  releasing their 7th album, Evil Friends on June 4th but last Thursday the band released the album via stream!

Don't dig streaming cause you want to listen to tunes when you're on the go? The May-December duo, David Bryne & St.Vincent get that and the getting is good! Their latest EP, Of Brass Tactics is free to download!
