Everyone knows the signature Hostess Cupcakes: a little chocolate cupcake, filled with the same cream found inside Twinkies and topped with a curly-Q stripe of white frosting own the middle. And of course, there's the golden Hostess Cupcake option. But, did you know that Hostess has a Strawberry Cupcake, too?!

I didn't know about this flavor option until a few months ago, when a friend at work gave me one. It was around Valentines Day, so I assume it's a special release for that Hallmark Holiday that plays off the popularity of the color pink around that time of year. It was individually wrapped instead of in the standard two pack Hostess Cupcake package and it looks just like the original, only light pink!
There was hint of Strawberry flavor which was just tasty enough with the amount of sweetness that all Hostess treats have. And, it was super sweet of my friend to think of me!
I had held off on writing this short but sweet review because Strawberry is a staple flavor during Summer. Keep your eyes out for different
flavors from Hostess, yeah that's the stuff!
